Math @ Home
Super Sums
Use only the 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, 6s, and aces(1s) from a deck of cards. Each player writes the numbers 1-12 on a piece of paper. Then each player picks two cards and adds up the numbers on them. The player can mark off that sum on the paper or cross off the two numbers on the cards. Who will be the first to cross of all 12 numbers on the list?

Guided Reading
Students took the NWEA Reading Test this week and I can't wait to share their awesome reading scores with you during conferences. This just goes to show that hard work at home helps indeed when it comes to fluency and reading success as a reader. Please continue to listen to your child read every night and have a conversation with your child about what he/she is reading. Yellow reading sheets should be signed each night along with practicing math in some way. Thanks for your support with helping your child grow as a learner!
Snack Time
We will continue to have a snack break within our classroom daily. Please make sure to send a snack or a few snacks along with your child each day/week. This little boost of energy helps the students get through their day!
