Reading
In reading this week your child focused on story elements (characters, setting, problem, solution, main idea, beginning, middle, end) by using multiple guided reading books.
Math @ Home
Use only the 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, 6s, and aces (1s) from a deck of cards. Each player writes the numbers 1-12 on a piece of paper. Then each player picks two cards and adds up the numbers on them. The player can mark off that sum on the paper or cross off the two numbers on the cards. Who will be the first to cross off all 12 numbers on the list?
Conferences
Conferences are scheduled for next Tuesday and Thursday evening. I will send google meet invites out next Monday for conferences.
I Love to Read Month
Several flyers and calendars will be coming home next week with various I Love to Read activities. Be sure to check Wednesday envelopes next week for upcoming events!

This and That
- If your child is able to bring in a pair of headphones or earbuds for the remainder of the school year that would be great.
- Don't forget to send daily snacks with your child each day or week!
- Please also send a water bottle daily with your child.
- Your child's handwriting book should always stay in their backpack so they have it everyday while at school.
- It is so great to be back in person. I missed seeing their smiles, hearing their stories, and working with them in person! 2021 is going to ROCK!
Friday
This Friday is an at home learning day. Please refer to the schedule I sent home on Thursday as to what classwork is required for Friday. If able I would love to see your child live at 10:00 on Friday! Remember, I need to see your child live or see some Seesaw activities completed for attendance purposes on Friday!
