Reading
This week in reading we spent a great deal of time focusing on stressing or putting extra emphasis on certain words when reading. We talked about how this makes our reading come alive and show emotion as a reader. Be sure your child reads nightly at home and don't forget to sign their yellow reading log sheet each night!
Math
In math your child continues to build up his/her number sense by working with numbers up to 1,000. This week your child built numbers using base-ten pieces, your child worked with the expanded form of numbers, and your child used words to represent 3-digit numbers. Coming up your child will work on greater than and less than with 3-digit numbers. Keep practicing those addition and subtraction facts at home!

Math

Spring Break
Spring Break is upon us and it is a great time for your child to recharge for the last stretch of this school year. Play some games with your child, have your child read daily, end encourage your child to be active every day during Spring Break. Have a well deserved break!
Masks
Students have and continue to do a great job wearing their mask. Please remind your child that we need to wear a mask all day (except mask breaks) and remind your child that masks need to be worn over both their mouth and their nose. I know this isn't ideal but we made it this far so let's finish off the year healthy! Thanks for your support and understanding with wearing masks!
