Writing

In writing your child has been working on the First 30 Days of Writing and this week our class worked on Writer’s Workshop Procedures such as Writer’s Workshop Rules, Where to Sit During Writer’s Workshop, and our class began to learn about the Writing Process.

Phonics

In phonics your child worked with open syllable patterns within words as in be, he, shy, dry, go and so.

Planners

Thank you for looking at and signing your child's planner every night. This is a great way for home/school communication. If there is ever a time that you would like to ask me something or you think I should know about something, write it in your child's planner. I check everyone's planner each morning.

Classroom Fund

The second grade team is asking all families to send $10.00 to school by Oct. 1st if able. Please make any checks payable to your child’s teacher. This money will aide in our journey of learning by funding many needed educational supplies throughout our academic school year. Thanks for your support. The best learning is HANDS ON LEARNING!

Time was spent this week talking about bus safety and the importance of being safe and respectful when near or on a bus.
