Ceiling Tiles
• Each student should come to the Media Center to get the paper to do preliminary drawing - They will get a large piece of paper and smaller piece. - These 2 pieces need to be taped together to form 24x24 – size of ceiling tile • They need to write in their name and teacher’s name on the back. • Fold the paper into 16 equal squares (this will help when transferring the picture to the ceiling tile). Fold in half and half again. Turn it around and fold in half and half again. When all folded up, you will have a 6x6” square. • The picture that students draw, should be of the cover of their favorite book (need to have read the book) including title and author (if that info is on the front of the cover of the book). • On your paper, you can use colors, colored pencils, markers, paint etc….. • Do the art work on paper at home and when dry, bring to school and give to Mrs. Kath in the Media Center • The deadline is March 9th. The deadline has been moved up one day earlier. • We will have 4 judges to pick the best picture. If enough pictures are sent in, we will have 1 student chosen out of each classroom to do the ceiling tiles. • The students who are chosen to do the ceiling tiles will be creating them here at school using all school supplies. Times and dates have not been finalized yet.
