Math @ Home

A shape is symmetrical when two halves of it are exactly alike. For example, a heart and a butterfly are symmetrical because, when folded in half, their left sides mirror their right sides. Have your child cut out different magazine pictures that are symmetrical. Then have your child cut along the line of symmetry. Next have your child paste one half of the picture on paper and then have your child draw the missing half.
